BIO FANTOMAS

Since 1999, aka Fantomas is shadow-free behind the turntables. The beginnings of his DJ career can be found in a drum and bass scene. Shaped by the energy of this music, he developed a penchant for driving hard and Jump Up DnB. During this time he discovered his joy of event management, which was for him not only professional but also appeal.

In 2002, he shifted his involvement in the central German techno scene. Seit 1999 steht Fantomas aka Schattenfreier hinter an den Plattentellern. Die Anfänge seiner DJ-Laufbahn finden sich in der Drum and Bass-Szene. Geprägt von der Energie dieser Musik entwickelte er eine Vorliebe für harten und treibenden Jump Up DnB. In dieser Zeit entdeckte er seine Freude am Eventmanagement, das für ihn nicht nur Beruf sondern auch Berufung wurde.

2002 verlagerte er sein Engagement in die mitteldeutsche Technoszene. Durch enge Kontakte zum Club 8.Mai; Tresor und Zahlreiche andere Technoveranstalter und Resident DJs wie Soapespierre, Subtronic und S.Sic erfolgte eine musikalische Resozialisierung hin zu klarem Oldschooltechno à la Underground Resistance oder Tresor, den er seit dem auf seine Weise zelebriert – hart und treibend.

Sein Fable für Klaus Kinsky, versteht er in Perfektion in seine Sets einzubringen, wodurch Klangbilder entstehen, die eine einzigartige Atmosphäre erzeugen und seine Sets zu unverwechselbaren Einzelstücken machen.Die Impulsivität dieser Kombination verbunden mit seiner Vorliebe für treibende Töne finden sich auch in seinem Minimalsound, der seit 2009 fester Bestandteil seines musikalischen Repertoires ist.
